Here is the cover for my upcoming book, Cape Cod & the Islands Family Fun Guide: Creating Unforgettable Memories. This project has been years in the making, and it felt right to share this moment first with the people who’ve encouraged me along the way.
A quick behind-the-scenes note: long before a book ever lands on a shelf, publishers are already making important decisions—how many copies to print, where it’s stocked, and how visible it will be once it’s released. One of the biggest factors in those decisions is preorders.
Even a few hundred early orders can make a real difference in how widely a book is carried and promoted. It’s one of the most meaningful ways readers can support an author before publication.
The book is a 6"x9" paperback with 200 pages, 75 photos, and 7 maps on glossy paper. It's a real beauty! The book will be arriving on May 5th. Preorders are now open through the publisher, with links to all major retailers.
If you’re open to it, Bookshop.org is a wonderful option—it lets you designate your favorite local independent bookstore, and it also contributes funds to support indie shops nationwide.

👉 Order from your preferred retailer:
• Amazon
• Barnes & Noble
• Books-A-Million
• Bookshop.org (supports independent bookstores)

Martha's Vineyard
Step back in time and embark on a journey to the enchanting island of Martha's Vineyard. When Bartholomew Gosnold first discovered this land, he was so captivated that he named it after his daughter and the abundant wild fruit that grew here. Of course, these lands were already occupied by the peaceful Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe, which is now a federally recognized tribe with sovereign land. Located just 7 miles off Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard is a picturesque island measuring 10 by 20 miles, easily accessible via a short ferry ride from the mainland.
Nantucket
The Grey Lady is a National Historic Landmark, boasting one of the largest collections of pre-Civil War homes in the United States. Witness the over 800 meticulously preserved structures built during its whaling heyday still line cobblestone streets lit by gas lamps, the homes, with their weathered gray shingles, overflowing flower boxes, and timeless beauty, create a fairy-tale-like setting.
